Averages

Averages are the arithmetic mean across all posts in the selected period: average likes, shares, comments, views, and interactions per post, plus average post reach, Stories reach, and daily page reach.

Averages are more useful than totals when comparing pages with different posting frequency: a page can win on totals simply by publishing more often.
